“Bahrain condemned the terrorist attacks on US buildings in New York and Washington. In a cable to the US President, George W. Bush, His Highness the Amir, Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, said that the attacks were against the teachings of religion and human values. HH the Amir expressed his condolences to the US President and the victims’ families. The Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, sent similar cables to President Bush and to the Vice-President, Dick Cheney.”
